New Parliament Building Inauguration

The new parliament building was inaugurated by PM Modi on Sunday. While 25 parties are expected to attend the ceremony, around 20 opposition parties have decided to boycott the event.

The Congress, Aam Aadmi Party, Left, Trinamool, Samajwadi Party, and others have expressed their disapproval of the new building's inauguration, stating that it holds no significance when the "soul of democracy has been sucked out". They believe that President Droupadi Murmu should have inaugurated the Building instead of PM Modi.

In response and to their defense, the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) strongly criticized the opposition's decision to boycott the inauguration considering it a direct insult to the democratic values and constitutional principles of the nation.
