Govt Finally Allows Battlegrounds Mobile India, But Only For 90 Days! No 24*7 Engagement Allowed

Sources have confirmed that the ban on the popular game app Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) is set to be lifted temporarily for a period of three months, following temporary clearance.

BGMI Update

However, the app will remain under
close scrutiny and monitoring, according to reliable sources.

Ban on BGMI To be Lifted?

A high-ranking official has revealed that the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) will soon issue an order to unblock the app from e-stores. Furthermore, the competent authority within the Ministry of Home Affairs has given conditional approval for the unblocking of BGMI.

During this period, the app’s activities will be closely monitored to ensure compliance with India’s rules and regulations. If any adverse activities are detected, the app may face a renewed ban, as stated by the senior official.

To adhere to the laws of the land, it is expected that BGMI will undergo multiple changes upon its return. Players will likely face restrictions, such as time limits on gameplay hours. Moreover, the app’s developers have assured government officials that there will be no depiction of blood in the game.

They intend to change the color of blood to a different hue, with the altered setting becoming the default option. Previously, players were provided with the choice to change the color of blood from red to blue or green during firing.

Why Was BGMI Banned?

The decision to ban BGMI was made by Indian authorities after discovering that its server was interacting with servers in China. Additionally, the app was linked to various crimes, including incidents of violence and even murders, reported across the country.

It is worth mentioning that the initial ban on BGMI was prompted by a report from a central intelligence agency, along with communication from the Ministry of Home Affairs to MeitY. The report highlighted potential violations that could lead to cyber threats, including the unauthorized harvesting of user data for profiling and targeted cyber-attacks on Indian users.

The report also drew attention to the app’s communication with servers located in China. It has been confirmed that other rebranded apps, which also communicate with servers in China, are currently under scrutiny.

BGMI Update

While the temporary clearance allows for the resumption of BGMI, it is evident that strict monitoring measures will be implemented to ensure compliance with Indian regulations and to safeguard user data.
